The MIT Australian Foundation Ltd is a charitable foundation established in November 2021 by the Board of Directors of the Melbourne Institute of Technology Pty Ltd. The foundation is intended to have only one member, which is the Melbourne Institute of Technology Pty Ltd (CAN 072 324 755). The activities of the foundation are overseen by the Board of Directors of the Melbourne Institute of Technology Pty Ltd.

The primary purpose of the MIT Australian Foundation Ltd is to provide relief to young individuals who are poor, destitute, sick, or have a disability (referred to as Vulnerable Persons). The foundation aims to achieve its objectives through the following means:

• Providing funding for educational materials for Vulnerable Persons;

• Providing funding for Vulnerable Persons through scholarships;

• Offering activities and programs typically provided by educational organizations to enhance the educational experiences of Vulnerable Persons;

• Providing life skills training for Vulnerable Persons; and

• Undertaking any ancillary activities related to the above objectives.
