During the early phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, the MIT Group Foundation provided unwavering support to Nepal by contributing NRs. 3 Crore. This financial aid was crucial in addressing immediate needs and offering relief to communities impacted by the crisis.
Tackling the Oxygen Shortage
When Nepal faced a critical shortage of oxygen in hospitals during the pandemic, MIT Group Foundation stepped in again. The Foundation donated 220 Oxygen Concentrators valued at AUD 300,000 to the Nepal Government. These life-saving devices were distributed to district health offices across the country, demonstrating the Foundation's commitment to public health.
Wide-Ranging Impact Across Nepal
Through its initiatives, the MIT Group Foundation helped distribute a total of 380 Oxygen Concentrators and 12 boxes of masks to different districts in Nepal. This effort was facilitated by the Ministry of Health. In a symbolic ceremony, the devices were handed over to Hon. Minister Sher Bahadur Tamang and Dr. Roshan Pokharel, reflecting the Foundation's dedication to
strengthening Nepal’s healthcare system.

From the hills of Dhading to the plains of Banke, Bardia, and beyond, the Foundation's outreach has been extensive. Oxygen Concentrators have been sent to districts like Jajarkot, Dang, Pyuthan, Surkhet, Dailekh, Achham, and Rolpa, ensuring that even remote communities receive the support they need.
