The MIT Group Foundation continues its commitment to serving Nepal and its people, particularly during the critical times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, the Foundation announced the donation of 220 oxygen concentrators to the Department of Health Services. Valued at approximately Rs 30 million, this significant contribution underscores our dedication to supporting Nepal's health infrastructure amid the ongoing health crisis.
During a programme where these oxygen concentrators were officially handed over, Health and Population Minister Sher Bahadur Tamang emphasized the need for collective efforts to ensure the health safety of the Nepali population. He acknowledged the international support facilitated by the Foundation and urged further cooperation to protect public health.
Minister Tamang also noted that the government is actively managing the distribution of vaccines and other health supports to bolster the health of Nepali citizens. He stated that all assistance received is being coordinated by the Department of Health Services and dispatched to districts based on their specific needs.
Through these actions, the MIT Group Foundation reaffirms its mission to aid Nepal in managing the pandemic effectively and ensuring that the necessary resources are available where they are most needed.
