The MIT Group Foundation is proud to announce the establishment of a new maternity home at Janakpur Hospital. This initiative forms part of our broader commitment encapsulated in the Rs 1 billion charity fund dedicated to enhancing health and education across Nepal.

During a recent visit to Janakpur regional hospital, hospital staff shared insights with the Ghales about the current challenges faced by the maternity services. The facilities are overwhelmed and struggling to cope with the demand, which includes approximately 14,000 births annually. In response to this, Jamuna Gurung expressed the Foundation's determination to elevate the quality of maternity care and reduce maternal mortality rates at the hospital.

This new maternity home is a testament to our mission to provide targeted, effective support where it is most needed, ensuring that mothers in Janakpur have access to safer and more reliable maternity
